Face it, things sometimes break, whether it be wear-and-tear or accidental.
The “When”, “What” and “Why” considerations of repair.
It is sometimes difficult to decide whether to repair or replace.
The following are some basic “rules of thumb” for when to repair:
if the cost is less than half the cost of the replacement,
if there is sentimental value,
if your camera meets your photographic needs,
if you already have many accessories for your camera,
if you are happy with your camera and prefer to not learn a new system,
if you are planning to replace your camera with a used one.
For more information, please feel free to call us with questions or come in with your equipment. Before we accept your equipment for repair, we take time to discuss your options with you. The camera is evaluated prior to you leaving it with us. We only want to send cameras worthy of repair in for repair. Sometimes, and unfortunately this is true with some point-and-shoot digital cameras, it is more economical to replace it than to repair it. We will always give you guidance so you can make an informed decision.
